The National Weight Control Registry is a database of more than 3,000 people who have lost at least 60 pounds and kept it for at least 6 years. Seventy-eight percent of these people in the record found that eating breakfast every day was a
excellent weight strategy control, along with eating a diet low in fat and exercising for an hour or more each day.

Cereal is the number one foods purchased in supermarkets today. The breakfast cereal was first created in 1863 in New York for a vegetarian.

So what is a healthy breakfast anyway?

Is pancakes slathered in maple syrup or green eggs and ham? Well, first, a healthy breakfast should be a
balance of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Fiber is also very important. Protein can come from meat, eggs, beans or soybeans
products. Fiber can be found in whole grains, grains or fruits. Sure, occasionally you can treat yourself
for cookies, cakes or pastries for special occasions, but on a daily basis, should be avoided, along with sugar
cereals and white bread. These foods will bring the madness to their level of blood sugar, shaking out of the area. Those
type of food are digested quickly and leave you hungry and tired in a couple of hours.

Research by the School of Psychology, Cardiff University, led by Professor Andrew Smith has shown that breakfast helps children function better in school than those who skip the first meal of the day. Dr. Smith said that it
clear that starting the day with cereal improves mental, cognitive and physical. Children are less emotionally distressed, less tired and less anxious. The study examined to 213 children from 4 to 11 years-old.

The results revealed children who start the day with cereals are:

9 percent higher alert

11 percent less emotional distress

The 13 percent less tired

The 17 percent less anxiety

The 10 percent less likely to have difficulty with memory and attention span, that those who have no breakfast

The 33 percent less likely to suffer from stomach problems.
